This .pw TLD just popped up (or been made to the general public) and it costs half the price of com/net/org to register, and since it's so new not so many keywords are registered yet.

Has anyone tried ranking a site with pw domain? What's your overall experience and what are your thoughts about .com vs .pw?

Although EMDs are not given that much weight anymore but they are still preferred over any other.

IMO, with regards to SEO, search engines won't mind whether you have a .com vs .pw extension. There is no big difference with the different TLDs. It's no question however that .com ,along with .org and .net, are very popular and have claim trust and respect from most users. Whatever the domain extension of a website is, as long as your site is properly optimized - onpage and offpage, your site can have good results in the SERPs.

I'd really go with non-so-emd .com/.net/.org then with some exotic .PW.
Not because of serps but because of users.

I have highly ranked .EU domains. Not sure about .PW though as I've never even seen a URL using the TLD.

I created an auto blog for Amazon products and waited for traffic. I might have gotten some traffic from Google but eventually the posts got de indexed and then the .pw domains were altogether de indexed. Where as I do have other Amazon autoblog TLDs like .biz, .us and .net getting traffic till now.
