I want to know more about port scanning. Is it basically just sending http requests to someone else's server and seeing if you get in? Because then you can do that with a giant multicurl and not risk your own ISP banning you.

Can an expert give me more info, please

98% of isp's if they catch you or have a strict policy
like in the states, will terminate your BB for ip sniffing

personally speaking syn scanning is rubbish it leaves to
many proxies behind that are good.
    tcp port scanning much better

Initial polling is actually done by sending a TCP request to a port. Pretty much the same as typical SYN-ACK handshake. Google how this works. If the target server responds to our SYN with ACK, now we can attempt to send a proxy request; either HTTP and/or SOCKS

I've developed such software and noticed curl is not reliable for this purpose, basically you could do the polling with curl but you will still need to probe those IP's and ports for actual proxies using another software ...

Curl is not meant to be port scanner. As someone suggested nmap, it's not a proxy scanner ... You will still need a real software that does it all for you.

What comes to ISP banning, the majority of ISP's don't like port scanning, was you using your own IP or hosting. Try hosts in the netherlands, they have overally quite lenient abuse policies but you need to find the exact host that suits for this purpose.

just remember any proxies found by port scanning which ever way
you might do it are public proxies. this means there in the public domain
this also means anyone port scanning can find them.
find proxies via port scanning doesnt make them private or semi private
they are still a public listed proxies within the public domain and do not
belong to the person who finds them.

Hmmm, well what I was currently doing was scraping public proxy lists and then running a curl request through every proxy I found. I would curl a php file on my own server and see if $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] matched the proxy I was supposedly using. If so, then the proxy worked. If it timed out or showed my actual IP, I knew it failed. I'm guessing legit software could do this a lot better/faster

And Proxygo, I messaged you a few times about a year ago about subscribing to your service, but then that project ended. Well, another one has come about and I could use a bunch of scrapebox proxies. Am I eligible for your 3K/day list? It seems from reading your posts you don't approve it for just anyone
