I have been monitoring the price of a couple of textbooks on amazon. over the past few weeks, prices have gone through the roof.
a book that used to cost $20 now costs $70.
a book that used to cost $85 now costs $180.

I guess that's because of back to school. but doesn't school start end of august, beginning of september?

I have these 2 books that I mentioned above. should I sell now or wait til end of august when everybody is going back to school?

I'd put them on now, especially if you've been monitoring the prices. Many students already know what courses they'll be in, and some professors send out class information early.

Many colleges go back around the 20th of August.

so wouldn't most students rush to buy around august 20, increasing the prices some more?

The price of used books will only go so high... $20 to $70 and $85 to $180 sounds decent. How much more do you want for them? If you wait too long, then you might get much less.

Another idea, you can list them for higher than the lowest price and see if anyone buys them. If it gets too close to school starting, then adjust. Def get them on there now, regardless if they are the lowest price or not.;)
