Is NameCheap safe for warez site domain?

I have just started a new warez site and have bought hosting on a offshore country but my domain is registered with namecheap. So my question is my domain safe with them? And when they lock down a domain? on a court order or just a simple DMCA complaint??

Nothing is safe if ICANN interferes. Normally, whois guard should be enough.
EDIT: Stay away from big players like Microsoft and Adobe ;)

I don't care about WhoIS information because I am living in an Asian country. I am only concerned about domain name.
 
Use a registar that is from a country that will allow shit like this, IE the same sort of country you would host in.

Don't get a TLD extention (.com for example) to do with a country that won't allow this sort of shit too
 
One of the biggest warez sites uses .org so you shouldn't have an issue. I don't think it matters which registrar you go through, ICANN is always there.
 
Currently I am using a .info domain. I think I will transfer my domain to an offshore domain registrar.
 
Hi, one of my friends had two websites with domains from NameCheap - warez and hyip (yes, I know, serious websites :D ) and with whois guard it worked perfectly. All the best.
 
There is always a risk when it comes to using warez with a N.A Registrar because it is easier to file a complaint and it is easier for the company to pick off your domain. If this is just a quick and dirty thing to make a quick dollar I would say go for it but if you are looking to get into a big investment with warez/cracks/serials it would be better to get some offshore registrars.

ICANN normally does not get involved with domain issues unless you piss in some big players cornflakes or get a shit-ton or traffic as the complaints are handled by the registrar directly and will normally comply with a removal request especially if you are a new client and/or joe-blow nobody.

Who would take your side if NC did take away said domain? What defense would you have? You need to look at it from their perspective.

they are alot better then godaddy but in todays world of overegulation nothing is safe it's like people are obsessed to regulate everything. It sucks.
 
I have decided to move my domain to an offshore registrar in the next few days. The project I am working on will be long term and I am expecting a long time income from this site once it is established.
