My second attempt at yt short looks to be the same as my first attempt: first few videos get a couple of thousand views then no views at all. Seen many channels in my niche doing the same thing except their second or third videos reach hundreds of thousands of views and then continue with steady growth but for some reason it doesnt work for me. The shorts I produce are basically the same thing in the same niche (family friendly shorts for dopamine addicted ipad kids). I use similar hashtags, titles. Will keep trying tho hopefully the algorithm will start reccommending my videos

You should now try to change the niche and sew response. If still response same, video quality might not be good.

Yes all recorded and edited by me and its not unwatchable garbage its literally the type of content a 9 year old would watch
Your target audience is 9 years? It is hard to make money with such audience, even sponsors will not come.

Im refering to shorts content not specifically 9 year olds. Most shorts users are probably younger than the average long form content watcher

I think its just how the algorithm works these days titktok use to do the same thing it would give your first 1-5 video views then test to see if users were engaging with your content if they were they kept giving you views if the videos did not have good engagement they would not send you any more views. keep posting videos for another week or two and see if it changes

I am working on 9 different shorts account and my experience is simple, virality of your short depend on the age+consistency+existing number of subscrbers.
We do 10 shorts per day per niche per account and when we started (6 months back), then typically 1 shorts out of 10 reach to 2000-3000 views,
rest of them are almost dead however faster forward, the niche in which we have most shorts subscribers results in average of 4 shorts clearing 2000 views per channel. out of which 1-2 shorts hit 7-10k views. So the more we are uploading, with more time passed and addition of more subscribers, the virality of shorts are improving.

For example, this short in your account that reach 2-3k views would reach 20,000-50,000 views in established YT channel. Unless you are brining in your own subscribers
(like a celebrity creating youtube account) the average reach of 10% of your shorts will be 2-3k. Most will be dead however once you channel gain subcribers and traction,
if you reu-pload those dead shorts, they will perform well again.
