is my website doing good

I started doing seo for my website since a week. initially it was not even in search results for any niche keyword, unless i type the name of website in google itself. But now it is showing on 3rd page of Google for a niche keyword. so am i really doing good or is it just a normal that Google showing it on 3rd page.
