ok, I used comment hut to search for blogs, a message appeared that my IP was banned by google. I didn't pay attention to that because I was just searching for blogs and not posting to them.

3 days later I tried posting to one of the blogs but it wouldn't let me post because my IP is in the google blacklist.

Now does that mean that any websites are blacklisted also? how do I find out if a site is listed on google?

    thank you for your help

ok, for some reason I couldn't edit my first post.

I made a search for abunza4me.com which is one of my capture pages on google and it gave me 3,440 search results. I guess that means it's not blacklisted right?

what about my IP Do I need to use proxy all the time now for searches?

This has happen to me when I used to look for certain sites and search through every single page of the google results. I think google just thinks your a bot for a little bit then allows you to use the search again.

How was the blog checking if your IP was in the google blacklist? Was it a blogger blog?

I really don't know. I think they have an add on that checks for them but as soon as I suubmitted to comment I was redirected to a page where it says that my IP is blacklisted.

If you are doing mass posting and not changing your ip address frequently they might block you.

Ok, as you explain you was using comment hunt which look for blogs, I will suppose that it search using google, so basically this happen always, they don't ban really your ip, and this usually happens when you use also any type of script or bot which uses google for search as example keywords analyzers and such, since you are doing massive searchs and pretty fast it is detected as a bot behavior or as if you were infected and you are a pea doing searches without knowing about it.

If that is the case you will be required to enter a captcha etc, to avoid this switch proxies or reset your ip so you can get a new one, there is an example, if you run Niche Inspector you will get in this situation.

I hope it helps and is related to your case.
