Is my plan of making a niche site and eventually making a full-time income off it realistic?

Hi,

Maybe I'm just in need of some motivation. I want to build a niche website for females interested in fitness, non-English speaking market (my home country in Europe). I've done some keyword research and I think here is potential for some interesting articles I could write up. My plan is to launch the site, write about 2 articles a day, and also work on some Instagram and Pinterest posts for the site to get more traffic. Also considering to make a couple of Youtube videos (not me being in front of the cam though). Besides that, I'm not sure what I should invest time in?

I think I would really enjoy doing this I think, but I'm often getting disheartened when I read things like 'People on blogs don't have a buyer intent' or 'You need half a million of visitors a month to make decent money'. Anyone here quite successful at monetizing their site/blog through Amazon/other affiliate programs and can give me some advice? Is my plan realistic and is it doable to make a full/time income off it at some point (assuming of course I put the work in)? Or am I being unrealistic and I shouldn't expect more than making a few bucks a months?

Thanks.

This is the list i give to my clients when developing automated niches

Niches List:
1)Finance (High CPC)
2)Sports
3)News (Quick Traffic Growth)
4)Health (Trending / Good CPC)
5)Fitness (Trending / Medium CPC)
6)Viral (Quick Traffic Growth)
7)Videos ( Youtube / Vimeo / Dailymotion Mix )
8)Business (High CPC)
9)Marketng (High CPC)
10)Bitcoin(Latest Niche "CryptoCurrency")

You can pick any of them. Both Adsense and Affiliates are supported. You can earn pretty good only if your promotion is good ..
Good luck.

I'm not selling anything with a blog just yet, but there's no need to be an expert to recognize that the quotes you mentioned are simply not true. The competition in your home country is surely lower than the English market, but it's critical to think through the monetization part in advance cause I don't think Amazon is the best option for each country in Europe.

With promo u can make everything. But question is how to promote.

I am also building a website to make money from Amazon Affiliate :) about 1 month old.(Target markets are also for customers who live in Europe).
My advice to you: TRAFFIC = MONEY so just do it and don't think about income immediately.
Besides, 2 articles daily, it is not feasible and I think it is not really necessary. Instead of focusing on the number of articles then focus on QUALITY.
are good ways you can get more traffic from it. Google loves that :)
Never give up! :)

You need up to half a million visits to make a decent income is surely a myth. I have a specific niche football website (five months old) and I have had decent success monetizing it.

With about 150-200k monthly visits, I post frequently on FB niche groups and I get at least 10k visits daily from Facebook.

I in turn mail advertising agencies and at least 5 of them responded well enough and I make like $2000 monthly. It's not much but It's probably reasonable enough to keep going. gave up on Adsense because of their strict policies but I have MGID set up too.

In a nutshell, put in effort, study some of you competitor sites and what they do. Try to narrow that model and add a unique feel to your own brand. Boost with some ads if you can and try to run SEO campaigns too. With the right strategy, even 50k visits can get you a decent amount.

Thanks, and congrats for your success! One question about the FB niche groups- How do you post in them without being spammy or getting banned? I've realized that a lot of FB interest groups forbid posts that contain links.

This will take a lot of work. I have very popular blog articles that don't monetize well.

A better idea would be to sell things on items on Amazon as a seller ... you can either do retail arbitrage or buy from China and sell individually on Amazon using their warehouses. You won't even need to touch the goods.

In my opinion you should definitely dive into Instagram marketing if you go the "females interested in fitness" route. You need traffic for your blog/website and within this niche you can grow a nice Insta profile if you do it correctly which then can lead targeted traffic to your blog.

I understand the Facebook methods spamming system...what to do and what not to do to get banned. Also, take the time out dedicate a day or two and message the admins of these groups personally..build a rapport with them and let them give you some kind of pre-approval in their group. Helps in your post being tagged as spam too.

The idea is that I your content is good enough with value, these guys won't mind allowing you post your stuff on their group. Although this is easier for me as my niche is Football and fans are crazy about that.
