Hi everyone. I didn't want to dick around so I just jumped right in. I'm reading so much on the side (12 hrs/day!!) to understand this stuff. I didn't want to not try something before bothering you guys with basic questions. Well, I'm at the point where I have a blog up but it seems one of my AM have a problem with it. He won't say what the problem is but he said "fix it and I'll reinstate you." http://www.sdsufreebies.com

This is not a plot to get you to my site, I promise. I have setup some plugins as you can see (pretty links and more) but do I need to hide this blog from my CPA networks altogether? If so, would an empty browser referrer be what I'm looking for? Obviously my target audience is university students.

You know, sometimes noobs get yelled at for not trying stuff out. In my case, I feel I have dabbled in too many things. I have my own host and wp setup on numerous BS domain names. I guess I just want to know what I should be doing with my blog, now that it has SOME content. Where do I go from here? I have read so much that I literally don't know what to do next. I even tried the youtube method today for the first time, LOL!

    Thanks

Am I not allowed to guide them to get the advertised freebies?
And for my links, how does everyone else get away with using tinyurl and other url truncating services?

    Thank you

Thanks man. That was XY7.com that told me my method was fraudulent. He did say he would reinstate me once I showed him a "legit" blog or website. I'm confused because I keep getting mixed answers about my blog. Lol..I know I made it shady but is it legal? And I'm assuming different CPA networks look at these blogs in different ways?

    Thanks

I believe Limelike is dead on it. I would ask your AM though, just talk and see what he doesn't like.

I admit, that's a nice site and I can see some real money come from that and I'm pretty sure the AM does too, so talk to 'em.

Not really networks but more of an AM thing than anything.

Tinyurl doesnt mask(or blank refs) it just redirects, so its a bit different, but your right most people get away with masking too.

Thank you for your input. I hope to generate some cash with it. I haven't started promoting it yet but come September, this is going to get hot! I was going to delete that blog after getting the news from the one AM. I'm glad I waited. So I should keep it going?

What's really weird is that AM was the coolest one. He called me back to discuss more methods he wanted to recommend. He called me a second time to give me the bad news. :(

    Thanks

Lol...I see. Could it be that I came off as a BH marketer to the AM? Could it be that he didn't want to trust my future methods based on what I had to show him (sdsufreebies)?

    Thanks

All the more reason to keep the communication going. Just need to ask exactly what he didn't like, and explain you'll do your best to fix any problems.

Possibly, I am not sure though, I can tell you that a lot of the same offers on there are also on maxbounty, so you might want to try them. You can also check offer vault for witch networks have which offers and what the rates are.

So you're selling promises and guarantees rather than selling the idea that it's only a chance that people will get these, and wondering if it's BH? Drop a disclaimer somewhere and you'd be a little better off, something like 'you wont get shit'.

Site looks good though, did you do the pics etc?

Oh yeah I forgot about that..

He should mention somewhere on the posts that you have to complete program requirements...

And btw "So you're selling promises and guarantees rather than selling the idea that it's only a chance that people will get these" For most of these offers it not "chance" these are points programs for the most part, so people really will get "free" stuff as long as they complete the required offers..

A very valid point. I am going to call that AM on Monday to see what his beef is specifically. I think I will refer him to a legit blog I make, running one of the weight loss campaigns. Once I get in I'll check out the offers.

Those are MB offers, lol. Good eye. ;) I was dropped from the network that didn't like my blog.

Some of those offers will materialize, I believe. I am asking for this reason though. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to add that tonight.

I'll add the disclaimer. Thanks for your suggestions.

Definitely. I've included the disclaimer already. I'm making a list of legit WP plugins so that my future installs will be complete.

It was a theme but then I put my SDSU stuff all over it. I'm an avid photoshop user but this blogging stuff is just nuts. I can't believe I haven't been using WP for websites all this time. Kinda want to kick my self for lost time. :(

    Home Page:
You are definitely allowed to guide surfers through the signup process. However, the problem with your page is that you do not guide them through the whole process. By leaving out some of the less desirable parts of the process (i.e. you have to signup for a bunch of the offers at the merchant's site) and giving the impression that they only need to fill in their name, address and phone, you are effectively undermining the value of the lead for the merchant.

I wouldn't go so far to say that what you are doing is BH, but it certainly will get you pulled from the offer once the merchant finds out.

I'd suggest you reword the steps to make them more vague, implying there are several steps that need to be done. You can be vague without being deceptive or lying about the offer. Other marketers promoting the e-mail only campaigns are doing that successfully.

I realize you are using an MB campaign. Typically I'd have to ask you to stop once I see the problem, but since you are legimitately trying to look for ways to fix it up, I can let this go for a few days while you make the changes. Always remember that you should not be writing anything up that might give them impression the surfer can stop at a certain point in the process.

Wow. Thanks for letting me rectify this. I really didn't know any better. I included a disclaimer already and now I will reword the steps.

Thank you for your input.
