I have couple of friends saying that blogger has gone crazy over banning blogs without any reason. As you activate adsense your blog automatically gets locked. Why the hell they are doing this? Any Idea?

I think they have to look for other reasons for their blogs getting locked. A lot of blogger blogs are monetized with adsense with no problems. I have a few

Yeah, I think its best to ditch blogger now. Some of my totally legit, non-spam, good content blog farm has been marked as spam and they are in no hurry to review your request to restore. Not sure what google is trying to prove.

One of my friend has 4 month old blog and he told me that the moment he tried to monetizing his 4 month old blog using adsense BOOM his blog get marked as spam.

To remove the confusing the old blogs with adsense aren't get affected much.

In other words According to google current definition of spam:
    "Adsense is Spam"

I contacted Google Team and they answered me:

" We are bunch of pissed off Stupid nerds and thanks for sending us lot of abuses. In the future we will make sure that you guys won't be able to make any money and the only one making money is Google."

I think if a person is stuck on using free blogging platforms, (kind of like me, I hate paying hosting), then I think at a very minimum it is best to separate the revenue company (Google) from the platform (Blogger). Too many interlinked footprints there.

I think I will probably move to weebly or something if I continue blogging.

I'm doing fine with them. All the auto blogs on blogger that I have only get banned if they are posted to more than 3 times per day. Also I have lost blogs that have translated trash content + adsense.

What I do is to check out the highest ranking web 2.0 sites for my keywords and then use those for that particular niche. I find it a little strange, but it does seem to vary depending upon the keyword/phrase.

In terms of ranking, I've also had good results with WetPaint.

I don't use blogger anymore at all. As with blogger I guess they have accepted their defeat and wordpress came out as winner. Looking at current trend it looks to me they will discontinue blogger soon.
So choice is either stick with wordpress or web 2.0 properties like squidoo. But the sad fact about these web 2.0 properties and free blogging platforms is that they have very short life time. Sooner or later they get raped by spammer due to easy access.

yes.that is true.they are not just targeting the auto blogs but also targeting blogs that use just the keyword phrases to bring search engine traffic.Recently, one of my health blogs was banned and deleted.I had spent countless hours on it for data research and article writing. One thing that i had done is just using the keyword phrases in the article title. It had about 325 articles.i asked for human review but it failed too.It is better not to use blogger,at least until their spam detection algorithms get improved.
