You can definitely do this, but make sure you do some research first and find a good niche with some search volume and not too high competition.
So, ads on site is still can bring relly good profit?wow, thanks for motivation, i will try!If I was to do a niche article site I would brand the hell outa it.
Something fun, short, and easy to remember so it's catchy on social media.
don't forget to take into consideration adblockers block adsense.
" Ad blocking in the US will continue to cause headwinds for online advertisers, as the phenomenon is expected to grow by double digits this year and next. In 2016, 69.8 million Americans will use an ad blocker, a jump of 34.4% over last year. Next year, that figure will grow another 24.0% to 86.6 million people. "

well i didn't say don't do it, i was actually just pointing out the problem site owners are facing as more and more people are becoming aware. You don't need to be tech savvy, it's a simple extension on your browser. Most people are using on their phones, and as phone internet is increasing, the problem will get worse over time. But on the other hand more and more people are getting online every year. Lots of people that are not particularly tech literate would never even think about the existence of an ad blocker, let alone where or how to get one.
Serving ads will always be viable, the profitability will surely change but it will always be a viable business model.

That's why facebook made a very public announcement about how they are dealing with it, inavertedly bringing the adblocker to a bigger audience in the process
OK enough said on that as i think it could just go on forever and we don't want to hijack OP's thread, maybe we sort of agree and partly disagreeI am not exactly disagreeing with you or saying what you are saying is incorrect. However for virtually everyone I know even the thought of installing an extension in a browser would be mind blowing.
I am not thinking about people on this site or anyone with even a modicum of interest in the internet / computers / games etc, I am talking about joe public, the house wife next door, the bricky that built your house etc etc.
It is easy to think because something is second nature to you and your immediate circle of friends (and possibly family) it is not representative of the general public and I doubt we would get to the point where even half of users are using ad blockers.
