I am doing keyword research and something doesnt make sense.

    I am after a keyword

    [something] for sale in [state]

for all states, the search volume is very low, like 22 searches per month.
but for one state, it's 3000 searches per month, exact match domain available.
I am very skeptical. There is nothing special about this state. the people of this state are actually known to be old fashioned so they dont use computers.

so i am wondering what is going on?

An entire state not using computers???...LOL

Are you sure the term [something] is exclusively tied to something computer related?
Could it be a brand name or have a different meaning that is popular within certain demographics?

[something] is a generic English word. like car.

when i said they dont use computers I mean they dont use computers to search for things. they probably still use yellow pages there. so i am surprised the search volume is so high, when more technologically advanced states (California, ny) have search volumes of 22.

Are you using Google's keyword tool? When I see anomalies like that (and Google does get it way off sometimes) I usually go to "wordpot" and double check the keyword there.

no..google keyword tool is correct..its give us info.about keyword search by user..but you have diff.kind of problem.you have state problem...if people don't use computer in that state then google don't show you that 3000 search figure
