If you have a proven strategy for getting clients then it is worth it.
Also have you checked if there is any demand for your services in the area where you live?
Competition can be tough, but you may find few competitors in your local area.
If you have some experience of marketing services that you can provide then that is useful.
It seems to be the in thing now to start an agency.

Just start growing from your own work. Maybe hire 1 and see how it goes. Go lean dude. The good thing is that you don't have to technically stock anything so the risks of losing assets after failure are null (that is also the issue that makes this type of agency so attractive to people and most end failing hardly due to the hard competition as someone has stated before).

"Agency" is a very broad word. do you specialize in any one field?

One field you master can be way profitable than muddling trough.

you can offer other services to make it look like a complete package, but what is your expertise?

SEO? Social? Running PPC? 360 Solution? if you had a 360 figured out in your head i guess you wouldn't ask how much you can earn, just realizing how much the setup can cost might draw you back.

And if you are an expert at one thing, tons of ways to sell your services outside of being an agency, and if you are any good, you will make $.

Yes Absolutely! Starting up a Digital Marketing agency is a Promising business plan but remember it is also a highly competitive business. So if you could keep with the competition you will have no issue.

Regarding the money factor, It all depends on your services and the way you approach your clients.

If you are pretty new to this then I would personally suggest you do some research to learn the basics and then proceed with the plan.
