I have about $600-$800 I want to invest in buying a website (Whether it is a website business where you sell links and outsource it) or another website such as a Clickbank product. Would you guys say it is worth it to purchase a website for this type of money of Fiverr for example? Or is it better to use that money on your own sites?

buying a good website with proven good revenues can make you a hefty sum, even if they have potential, So buy is good if you have enough cash on you :)

    Sweet.

How much would you say is a good amount a site should be making If I have $600-$800 to spend? Should I divide the value of the website by a certain number to find out how much it should be making a day?

If you don't have at least $2k to spend, I wouldn't bother buying sites unless you're prepared to spend a lot of time looking around various marketplaces etc. (I do it full time so it's different for me).

You'll most likely get a better ROI outsourcing the build of a new site: keyword research, domain, design, content and SEO.

  6. They say 10-12 months income, but the market really isn't there right now. Don't quote me, but I have been seeing more in the neighborhood of 3-6 months income. This also largely depends on how long the website has been making money.

I would think with $800 you could possibly pick up a site that's making between $80-$120 a month.

Are those link building businesses where the people promise to give you the supplier and such worth it? For example: http://backlinkcore.com/

If I bought such a business ready site, is that worth it?

The market hasn't gone anywhere for decent sites. There's just been an influx of crap in recent years which has brought average multiples down.

Bear in mind, for sites with little/no history of revenue and traffic, and with little/no other goodwill value, multiples are going to vary hugely - so there's no magic way to value them.

Multiples are more stable as sites become older and have more history (hence have less risk to investors). There are still plenty of buyers willing to pay a fair multiple for a solid site.

I would personally go with building my own with 5-8 hundred $$, if you go on craigslist or BHW you can find a freelancer to make you an incredible site for you're money, but you'd have to put a little more work into driving traffic.

Let us know what you end up doing :)

I want to start some type of link building business and have the coding and theme done by a craigslist freelancer. I am just not sure what kind of link building to focus on. I want to find a supplier and outsource it. The problem I see is that everyone is going to Fiverr for cheap links so these sites that charge $25 for 1K twitter followers arent making good money.

It's a hard act to follow, especially when somebody in India will do it for pennies, maybe you should link build on youtube comments and charge for that service, aswell as sell page views, subscribers etc. instead of twitter followers.
let me know if i'm on the right track as to what you're interested in pursueing.

You should focus on link building for small businesses. Go into you local coffee shop and ask them if they ever heard of Fiverr or even BHW. NOPE!
