So this has been on my mind for a while. I have become pretty well versed in my niche read a few books and edit articles from my writers, the articles arent pulitzer prize winners but their decent with some added value.

Recently I added a article from my writer and a infographic remade from a pro site. I posted it on reddit and had some negative replies about how the article isnt good enough, its got incomplete info subjective, miscatogorized etc etc.

I have tried more expensive writers but even that doesent help much since its still just research. Like a great writer trying to write about advanced techniques for improving your golf swing...some things you just cant wing.

Getting a advanced writer would give me great articles that could go viral but honestly I do well ranking my articles now using seo, so thinking if the investment is worth it? Do most of you go for super high quality articles or settle on readable and grammatically correct?

Almost always the answer is no in my book. And FYI there are a lot of fake "professionals" offering "expert" content and/or endorsements... so watch out if you go looking for somebody. There was a guy around here a while back trying to sell articles written by a "doctor" if I remember correctly.

I don't know if it's worth to hire a professional to do your article writing, but I do know that almost all of the websites I'm finding on page one (for competitive keywords) only have content that I would rate as B/B+ (talking about the quality of the content, not about how well they are written, although that's usually B/B+ as well)

So, unless you want to build a super high authority website (number one in your niche) if you can already rank your articles and then your visitors convert, it doesn't look like it makes much sense to hire a professional to have A+ content, from a ROI point of view at least

I will keep this short..

When it's competition between rankings and conversions, conversions will always be the winner for all IMers.

Your site can not convert even if it's at the 5th page if it has low-quality content and your competitor would be converting like a boss even if he is at 50th page, with kickass content.

Quality, format, and call-to-actions will always be key things of an article, no matter how amazing your SEO is.

I would prefer Super High-Quality articles over the second option you have asked.

Yes this is actually interesting to look at catches the eye, the people that area ranking ahead of me have worse content if im a 7/10 their a 5/10 but still ranking high. So I suppose the roi might be sticking with my 7/10 content and using any extra time for more seo.

Regular, high quality content gives you reputation which in the long term means you'll win engagement which equals free backlinks, brand recognition when spotting your site in the SERPS, Social interactions and much more. The top blogs in any niche that are known by everyone in the niche have high quality content.

For the most part, "experts" don't exist and aren't worth it. I mean, web copy isn't a complicated investigation where we calculate data for a rocket ship that will kill people if it's wrong. Basically anything you would write on the internet can be written by doing research even if you know nothing about the subject.

Your english has improved a lot in the last few weeks, good job man!

Well expensive writer doesn't mean they can write well, first you need to tell them what exactly a requirement like you stated that you post it on reddit, so explain them that is your requirement. It doesn't mean that you explaining your work ideas or anything. You have to recheck the work before posting it on anywhere.
I have one client for whom I did the task and hired writers at cheap and expensive rates too but quality is not as good as required. So I have explained them that we need this not what you are writing and after that I got good result on article writing.

Depends on the niche, the topic and how complex it is.

Does the article need correct referencing ( as would be required y university papers) or just quoting sources.

If the article is on kidney removal procedures, then I'd rather read one from a qualified surgeon than some random person who has no experience or qualifications in the field.

A comparison would be Buying the best golf club, I can get any writer to research and write a guide on that, but most will probably have glaring mistakes in the article that any seasoned golfer would see as an amateur article regardless of the writers grammatical skill. I could still rank the article #1 with its mediocrity but not sure if starting with a pro article would be worth it from the get go, I would imagine a industry expert would charge above and beyond the usual.

Thanks! Yours too buddy, ill send you dat der Rosetta stone torrent link

if you want to hire a pro you need a pro budget and most people here don't. For my high end clients, I book at least a day for their content. I am an expert in my field so I write from experience. Lots of "i know internets jah jah" are frauds but most people that talk about their leet sites are just broke jokers with nothing to offer.

You can indeed get great content if you pay for it but when you see people here say things like "$9/100 words omg that's so crazy you'll never get that much" you know this place is not the place for high end professional writers. ha

No.
Hiring wouldn't do any good if you know simple English you can make your own content. Hiring someone do no good.
That someone is so distracted at doing that doing this, it will not provide quality information in your post. Means you waste your money. Sorry to say it straight but that's the truth
