    Hey guys,

I'm going to build up a page wich lists companies for a special niche and would like to use "keyword-in.c0m" for the mainsite so that I can rank "keyword in city". Is it usefull to go this way or just take another domain with the kw in it? The EMDs are not avaiable, so I need a keyword+randomword domain.

    kindly regards

I will prefer the first option as it will get you good ranking for that city.

Whether the EMD will be useful really depends on SERP's competition. It's usually useful in low competition niches for shorter term sites.

If there's not much competition and the EMD's are taken, you could just go for a relevant word before or after, for example: topplumbersinboston.com or plumbersinbostontoday.com
