Hey Guys,

Hey there,

I've been thinking about starting a new blog in an area I have deep experience in. I've been doing keyword research and all the typical steps involved in launching a blog. However, I'm starting to wonder if it will be worth the effort in the long run.

It's no secret that search engines like Google are losing traffic to AI assistants. For example, why would someone search for a BMI calculator online when they could simply ask ChatGPT? This makes me concerned that SEO might become much more difficult, or even obsolete, sooner than later. Google is constantly updating its algorithms, which suggests they're trying to keep up with the changing landscape.

So, what do you all think about this? Is starting a new blog still a worthwhile endeavor, or should I reconsider my plans given the rise of AI-powered search alternatives?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the future of search and SEO, and how that might impact my blog idea. Any insights would be much appreciated.

No one can predict the future, but if you are afraid of blogging going obsolete, diversify your income source.

Google is not the only source of traffic you could explore. There are social media platforms like Facebook, IG, Twitter and Pinterest. Quora and Reddit are also there too, if you know how to take advantage of such communities but be careful with reddit.

In a nutshell, blogging isn't necessarily dead but things have changed slightly especially with regards to SEO traffic.

As of now, the percentage of search queries on AI platforms is very small, blogging will be challenging, but it is worth going for. However take advantage of Facebook pages, groups, Pinterest, Reddit and Twitter, if you make use of all these platforms, work on low competition niche then yes it is still a good money making method

Actually AI help a lot come blogging. Of course some will tweak a bit the content to make it more ' human written " I feel end of the day is all depend what your site is all about. There are many SEO site now what input your site etc. Obviously they are using some script backend tag with AI for some. This is how I feel. Not expert here :) I also learning just share what I noticed.

We do believe it makes sense. Of course, one should also use AI oneself and closely monitor the market and changes, responding accordingly.

It will never completely die but it will probably get more expensive with smaller returns.

User generated content saw increase. BHW itself is testament to that.

Definitely combine traffic from multiple sources. Don’t rely on just one.

And focus on owning the monetization.

As long as you own the monetization method, 50% of the equation is always yours. Equation being product + traffic = income.

In affiliate marketing fe, you don’t own anything.

The worth of a simple blog might have reduced due to lots of AI generated content and random blog posts as it is super-super easy now, but the worth "Your Blog" will depend on what you come up with. While you are researching the keywords, don't forget to see the organic results on those keywords and observe what type of posts are there in top results. If you think you can provide better content for users and search engines in those results then definitely "your blog" is worth and will receive the love of audience and search engines.

Stop thinking Google only.

There are various sources for traffic. Some of my websites are getting 70+% of traffic from Bing and DuckDuckGo (and make good money through Adsense lol). Others mainly from forum posts (created with Xrumer).

Yes , if you can generate some quality human content then its worth the time and money as well .

finally some good news. Been telling everyone that google's downfall is not necessarily a bad thing because this opens up opportunities for other companies / sites to bring traffic to us. It's been google that's been the devil all along because they monopolize by eliminating all competition, legally or illegally, but as soon as these mobsters fall everyone will get a fair chance

Yes , focus on the onsite and page optimization with quality content but google is been crazy this time .

He is right. AI-automated content is being de-indexed for several of our websites, but if you mix it with optimized hand-written content, it might work.
