Can someone tell me the best recent methods? I see lots of threads, but I don't know which are worth pursuing when some people say they're making $30 a day to I get 4,000 views per video and I'm doing great! It doesn't seem like it's great to me, but again I'm new to the scene.

Same. I think $1,000 a month is possible, but you have to be promoting something and not just making revenue from ads. If you're referring to making affiliate videos such as product reviews. Or tutorials promoting your membership website, then yes $1,000/month is very doable.

Do you mean no partner program or no Adsense? The two are not mutually inclusive.

I'm using adsense and making $3k/month. There is no method per se. Just make quality original content and promote it well.

The only other strategy I'm aware of is to steal content, mass upload it with multiple accounts and proxies, and put CPA offers in the description. Or link to your website with a CPA content locker. It seems to work well for some people. To me it seems like more trouble than it's worth.

1,000 could be possible with ads alone.. but it depends on who you are. I mean, look at whiteboy7 making 20x that much monthly.

If you are simply promoting a product. It will be hard, expect that.

This is what interests me... Are these ads you're overlaying or is it something where people will click to sign up?

CNN showed a lady that was making over $100,000 a year with a Korean appetizers/h'orderves YouTube site. All I remember is that she was an Asian lady.

When you have a YouTube account that reaches a certain age or gets a certain amount of views (I don't know what the criteria is, but it doesn't take very much at all), YouTube will offer you to start monetizing videos with Adsense.

You'll see new buttons and tabs for monetizing videos when this happens. Then all you do is switch it on. You'll get video ads that play before your videos and banners that lay on top of videos.

Making money this way is all about traiffic, just like adsense websites. The more [real] views you get, the more money you make.

So how do you get traffic to your videos? In many ways it's much like traditional SEO. Optimizing videos for certain keywords can go a long way. Backlinks can help, but it doesn't play nearly as large a role as far as I can tell.

Having [real] subscribers is a guaranteed source of traffic. Building up your subscribers is hugely important, which is why you see so many people on YouTube encouraging viewers to subscribe.

A large factor for getting onto search results and the related videos sidebar is raw views and "likes". This can create a snowball effect sometimes. As your video gets more views and likes, it gets more prominently featured in searches/related videos, which results in more views and likes. It's a wonderful cycle. This system is YouTube's attempt at quality control. Unlike Google, where a crappy made-for-adsense website can get #1 on the back of backlink blasts, stuff like that won't always fly on YouTube. Quality content that people enjoy watching is pretty important.

It's very easy to promote videos on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. People in general are far more interested in watching entertaining videos than they are in seeing a website about weight loss products. When people enjoy a video, they love to share them. So by creating quality content, you encourage people to "promote" your "product". If a video goes viral, you cash in big. It's another wonderful cycle.

I'm not even an expert on this stuff. I'm just a guy that has been moderately successful at it. I'm sure there's tons of good info out there about succeeding on YouTube.

Read up and take action, kids. And be creative. ;)

For me, it's nearly instant. Definitely never had a video waiting for more than a few minutes.

Wait, what? Is that 1k/month for everything in Adsense, or are you just counting Partner bonuses?

It doesn't make any sense. I'm getting less views and making 3x that. And I'm not a Partner.

Partners get special ads, and gain revenue from channel impressions. Maybe some other things, I'm not certain.

I suppose if you aren't getting much USA/UK traffic, that could explain lower revenue.
