Is it safe to use public proxies when generating fake hits to your website, or should you use private proxies.

it depends... for what purpose you will be generating the fake traffic?

I can't see how public proxies would be unsafe for such a task whereas private proxies would cost you hundreds of dollars to generate decent traffic.

here's an example for you - if he wants to generate fake traffic and having analytics or adsense on the site to fool G, it is very likely 90% of those public proxies are blacklisted by G and when it sees his traffic is all from blacklisted proxies guess what happens with his rankings..

Hmm... You may be right but then again I doubt a few hundred visits would do any harm to the rankings.

Anyway, none of my sites have Google analytics so I can't really comment on that.

well, if those few hundred visits are 100% of his traffic, it sure will.. but if he has other traffic and just blend in few hundreds proxied that would be fine..

Thanks for your comments, i was just generating fake views to get my bounce rate down.

Google will probably be able to detect that the traffic is nonsense or the same person. Unless you change some other things, such as your browser, etc, Google will realize what your'e trying to do.

yeah, that as well! make sure your bot is good as well - rotates proxies, rotates browsers, deletes cookies..

i wouldnt use public proxies, most are spammed and will raise quick
flags - private all but as with every method you try its trial and error

Thanks for your feedback guys!

If it is for the purpose of getting traffic just don't you will get zero value traffic.
.

public scraped proxies are generally over abused
will be listed on multiple sites for spam
so there uses are minimal at best

If you just want to generate hits, you may not need a proxy at all-- just a program to make repeated requests. If you want to generate unique hits (incoming requests of multiple different IP addresses), then I'd recommend using web proxies (e.g., those on proxy.org) or anonymous public proxies. Unless you're doing some serious load testing, private proxies will probably not be cost-effective for this purpose.

for traffic you can use without any kind of problem public free proxies , but you will do it for nothing cause you will not get rank higher etc ...
so useless

for traffic you can use without any kind of problem public free proxies ...

no you cant due to the ban restrictions already on them raising flags
on the hits, this is bad advice

Public proxies are usually low quality. Go with private proxies.

problem there is hes gonna need lots of different ips
and also doing it with private proxies is gonna cost alot
of $
