I've been doing a little experiment using some custom HTML for a new site that I'm ranking at the moment.

The problem is that cross-compatibility isn't working - content shows up incorrectly on different computers/browsers.

I've spent too much time already tweaking this and outsourcing fixes so I want to cut my losses and just move the whole site to wordpress.

What are the risks of doing this while I'm in the middle of ranking..?

The domain, content and images will stay the same, I'm just changing platform..

Haven't needed to do this before so interested to hear your experience..

If you change the URL structure it's gonna get hit for weeks / months.....

If you're able to change platform without messing up the URL's then you should be fine. You can also 301 redirect all urls to the new ones, which will avoid getting hit too.

I'm going to keep all the URLs the same, but the structure (hierarchy) might change a bit..
