Not wanting to get sued or anything. But thinking about setting up an auto blog that will syndicate to a wordpress site.

Is it likely I will run into any trouble if some of the images are watermarked?

It's depend to your host about adult content, read they rules
For the watermark you make pub, so I think they like that, but if the pictures have copyright take an host without DMCA

It depends on the studio, some are hyper crazy about it and try to scare you off. Amateur pics are the safest.

When did adult film stars become lawyers?? Most likely, nobody is searching for the pics 24/7 to look for copyright. Like, some guy from Bangladesh shoots a video of someone getting robbed and it ends up on LiveLeak -- I wouldn't be worried about maybe uploading this to YouTube and trying to get some viral views. You should be good, still I'd watch it though. Wouldn't go for a woman like Phoenix Marie and post her up everywhere on the site, def stick with the novices.

Its funny when non-american adult entertainers that are based in other countries try to make legal claims and are using American laws to scare the pirates away. In some countries copyright only applies to artistic photos and videos. Someone having sex on video and or photo is going to be considered pornographic and not promoting the arts or sciences. Under the various treaties and laws, when something is not copyrighted in 1 country it doesn't gain copyright protection in another. Also they try to make it seem like its a criminal offense to use images without permission. Yet even if the images are copyrighted in many countries included the US in order for something to be criminal copyright violation it has to have retail value. Images or videos given away for free has no retail value.

Most people just assume the copyright laws are nearly the same everywhere and is all criminal since they only pay attention to news cases about copyright law and not actually do some research on it.

"Non-American adult entertainer." Well, I think of Mia Khalifa first ha. All that lawyer stuff makes my mind go blank, lol. It is intimidating though, when you see some kid being sued for tons of cash for downloading a Jay-Z album. Damn, I even remember getting a warning letter from my ISP when I used to use torrents. All I was downloading were movies, still.

Its things like that which makes people think that the copyright laws are different than reality. A Jay-Z album has value, while a video of a woman going down on her boyfriend and then never offered for sale doesn't.

What I'm wondering is is the pirating industry really cutting into the record industries profits that much, or are they just making a big deal out of it? I know they like to make examples so as to warn others, but still. Way I see it, if some 16 year old just spent his last damn money on a meal and some beers and really can't spare a $9.95 to line more millionaires pockets - he should be able to download whatever without worrying about the legality of it or Optimum sending in notices and scaring the parents. I'm sure it's probably not a lot of money being taken away, the people are still enjoying whatever they download and that should be enough for the artist or company to save their energies for something else, you know?? Especially in porn!! If I'm watermarking some girl it shouldn't be a big deal, haha.

Illegal porn such a weasel word that adult hosts use. Its designed to make it seem like they are against copyrighted images uploaded but it really means no bestiality and cp,lol.
