Is It Really Worth All The Efforts To Rank A Site On Google? Or Should Look For Alternative Ways. I really started to think trying to rank a site in google is much more harder than finding alternative ways. With all the work you done and with a simple update they all go to trash. I belive its the best way to make cash online but still...I just want to know what you guys think.

Typically if a website is doing extremely well in Google, it is indexed well in Bing and Yahoo as well. Google owns something like 67% of the market share of search traffic so it's not bad that you only focus your efforts to ranking well in Google.

Is it worth ranking your site on Google? I guess it depends what your time is worth, versus what sort of revenue the site can produce. Things like this take time IMO.

Good luck

Dont waste ur time just one simple google update ur site will be in page 20000000

No matter how much time or money u put in to the site
Even if u follow the Tos from the head to the toe
Once update booom ur out!!!

Find method that dont rely on google

Id say focus on Google, because thats where most of your search engine income will be generated through organic searches, but also drive traffic through social media sites like pinterest, facebook, twitter etc. so if you do have a knock by a google update, traffic is still ending up on your site and being driven towards it.
Moral of the story, dont become too dependent on le Google.

Post penguin, google's algorithm and what they value is 180 degrees different than bing/yahoo
I'm not sure why people keep spouting this ancient theory about rank sharing, but for the vast majority of the queries I am in, page 1 on google and bing/yahoo do not share a SINGLE WEBSITE in the top 10.

I think that you would be best trying to generate traffic from other sources, generally if you can make genuine traffic from other sources eg FB,Twitter,Pinterest im thinking your website will naturally rise in the google serps

Traffic won't make it rise, back links and such will.

backlinks and such from twitter, facebook, forum posts etc are all alternative ways to generate traffic and all help towards serps

Any boost in rankings from these is very minimal, and temporary. Any traffic is generally crap and won't convert, but this depends on your niche.

I would concentrate on other things than google (if you can think of any).

Rely on Google only - and you are dead.

I share the same concerns over the sustainability of a Google ranking. My industry (real estate) has consumers that mainly use Google over all other search engines, but I need my sites to maintain a consistent ranking in order to compete. On the bright side, a sale can bring in quite a bit of revenue, so I can afford to try a few methods.

diversification is important IMO so that one can have multiple steams of income and not just rely on google. maybe checkout ppc, media buys JV's etc

There are Google, Yahoo and Bing that are interesting traffic wise for my sites. What other sites should be considered ?

I would put that another way:
It is Really Worth to Look For Alternative for Google and rank in google at the same time.

If you fear to do SEO then go for PPC. Its the only other option i know to avoid google INC. If you are running mid size product selling site, the cost of SEO and PPC may be same.
P.S: SEO too need regular updations.

Also think so, Google is going to create customized search results, so the day will come and each user will get a different result for the same keyword, depending on what the user searches mostly, visits, shares....

I have sadly lost 'the trust and good faith' I once had for google' Kind of like finding out your stuck with an unfaithful partner. I'll never trust them again, not with my livelihood. All fun and games aside, google are affecting real lives and businesses daily and I don't believe they operate as a proper corporation should. All other industries these days have to play by the rules of 'limited collateral damage' Manufacturers have to prove their products are safe and won't destroy or hurt people. Drugs have to be tested and tested before approval by people like the FDA. Food has to pass safety checks... Heck,, in the UK you cant work with a ladder to fit an arial unless the darn thing is bolted to the wall... Google right now operates above the law. They make deliberate changes to their algorithms that routinely effect and can even destroy the incomes of millions of people including shops, tradesmen, small and large businesses, charities, community groups, clubs and various special groups who actually have no other way to earn a living except on the internet.

The Google corporation's ethics appear to be non existent and in my opinion, utterly disgusting. If you are able to diversify your income and not rely on them, you would be better off.
