I've made three hundred dollars so far using methods from this forum. Now i want to get into clickbank. Is it really as simple as just building a website, finding a good product, and then buying advertising? I figure i could put 100 dollars into my domain, design, maybe even buy some fiver vids. Then put 200 into ppc advertising. I will ofcourse do my research and find a good product that a lot of people are searching for.Am i on the right track or no?

Can you make lots of money from a small investment with clickbank? Absolutely!

PPC advertising can deplete your budget literally in seconds if not done right. You need to research and understand PPC well before giving it a go.

Once you're comfortable with your knowledge, start with a test campaign using a very low budget per day. Monitor continuously.

You'll need to be testing your keywords and ads, among other variables.

Study demographic data - countries, gender, age groups etc... - who is buying and who is clicking but not buying.

As a general rule, assume you'll lose money in the first days of a PPC campaign and it can take weeks to find the right targeting for a consistently good ROI.

Please note that I'm not in any way trying to discourage you from using PPC. Many of our top affiliates are using PPC with extreme success, but it takes time and work to get the right combinations.

PPC (and all quality paid media channels) are THE way to generating consistent long term income streams but it in no way quick or easy to implement and anyone telling you otherwise either has zero experience with real PPC or is pitching you yet another "Make Money While You Pee-Pee-See" rehashed program.

I agree with the post above me: it takes careful planning, research, money management, consistent testing tracking and tweaking to find that golden goose, especially in today's highly competitive market.

That said, I would encourage anyone with a fair budget and some free time to go ahead and start their first PPC campaign...yesterday.

IMO, PPC campaigns seem to be very difficult to implement profitably. Though people feel its just like- set up campaign, put keywords, invest a few bucks and make a lot of profits. However, if you are a noob and luck is not on your side, you are going to lose almost all your capital. It can be highly risky if you don't know what you are doing. It requires continuous split testing and removing campaigns which are not converting well. One may even want to split test with different related keywords for find the high converting ones according to their products.

I've been doing SEO for a year now with decent success and wanted to start looking into the whole PPC avenue however I think you're right it looks extremely tedious and a long journey to use it right. I did a few facebook campaigns with an online business I have and made pretty much my money back a few times over before getting a pro to show me a few tips.

Pringlez, you're being sarcastic right?

Reckless PPC not only is unsuccessfully but also costs money!

Well it is that simple if you do what I did for a while last year. Open a adwords account enter coupon code for free $100 of adwords use it, pay the first $50 with a prepaid card, then the limit rises to like $200-300 and then don't pay. Rinse and repeat, in the end you get like $300 worth of adwords clicks for $50. Don't try this however since you will get caught and will not know how to take the necessary precautions

Some people make millions with PPC advertising, but you can also flush $500 down the toilet in about 3 minutes if you don't know what you're doing. PPC is a science and the people who are really good at it make lots of money, yes, but it's A LOT harder than it sounds.

If it really interests and motivates you then you should take the time to learn it with small amounts of money. If you're not really motivated by it though, you won't have the fortitude to study and test different things for long enough to figure it out.

PPC took me 12 months of blundering my way through it, then $2000 to do a course before I got a ROI even close to what some good rankings will do.

Now I love it and have a ROI of 500-700% - with weekends off!

What course do you recommend? $2k isn't expensive at all considering the upside.

Good PPC campaigns are hard to get going. The only successful one I had got shut down and stolen by the advertiser. So be careful!

it was an advanced adwords course - I just did a search and found one in my closest capital city, course was only maybe $600, the rest was airfare, car hire and hotel.

Heaps of places offer them, but you'll need to look through the syllabus (is that how it's spelled??) to make sure it'll help you. Most start very very basic.
