Yeah you just change the anchor text and it bounces back instantly. Well in my case it does. If you are talking about keyword over-optimization, I'm not sure, never had that issue.
Thank you But I read on a site that if too many anchor text change then it flags another penalty... is it true?
@Shingau Over-optimization penalty can be recovered without any issues. However you should not expect it to happen in couple of days. You should keep a margin of 30 days minimum. The over optimization can be of 2 types: onpage and offpage. If its onpage, it will be quite easy to fix it up, like - Check the keyword density. You can replace the most with LSI/Long tail. - Sometimes you will find the keyword density under decent range. In that case you may have to check Keyword synonyms as G also reads that. - Apart from that, you need to check other parameters like URL. I have seen url where people put the keyword multiple times. And all usual stuff like Meta data, H1/H2/H3 etc If its offpage optimization. You can either remove existing anchor text links to balance it out or if it is not under your control, then start building more to dilute the previous. However dont be in a hurry to throw bunch of links in a very short time. Personally I prefer the first if you have the control.
of course but it takes time around 1 to 2 months depend on the crawling period. first change over optimized content and title and everything which looks over optimized google will automatically remove penalty.
