There are tricks to get educational emails, like sign up for exchange programs, temporary courses and stuff like that. I know .edu had several methods published here.

It seems getting .edu is more widespread than ac.uk, thanks for your help.

You can get a free Canadian student account, there's a method about somewhere. I keep the Alumni email address from Uni too, which is cool.
Think its illegal to sell them because no one that is in control of creating them would want to tarnish the name of a school/Uni. If someone is selling them, they aren't doing it with permission and would likely be found out and banned or something.

Being from the UK I want people to see ac.uk not .edu as they will be more trusting with this in mind.
