Is it possible to automate wordpress, tumblr, and other high pr blogs with vb.net?
Create username, domains, pick themes, and stuff?

I've been using webbrowser control and it does a lot of profile posting.
I'm thinking of learning httpwebrequest and stuff if it will allow me to automate wordpress, and other high pr blogs.

It's definitely possible. Will take effort on your part, but it's possible. httpwebrequest is cleaner and faster. It should be used whenever possible.

@dragonrage01 yes you can automate anything with vb. There's a few ways of doing it ... you can either write it as a human would use wordpress, logging in and performing tasks, you can have the webbrowser control check boxes, fill in fields and other various tasks.

With wordpress, you can also send posts via xmlrpc. This includes uploading images and other things such as switching themes. This is a harder route to get right, but far faster and more reliable.

Not all sites support xmlrpc or posting API's though, so programming it all as a human would use each CMS is more failsafe.

Here's a snippet I use to auto check a checkbox on a page that happens to be named "selectbox" (VB6 syntax) ... VB.net shouldn't be that different.

    Code:
            Set MyLinks = WebBrowser1.Document.getElementsByTagName("INPUT")
            For i = 0 To MyLinks.length - 1
                If InStr("selectbox", MyLinks(i).Name) Then
                    MyLinks(i).Checked = True
                    GoTo endcheckbox
                End If
            Next
    endcheckbox:

Easiest way is to use a webbrowser control. Make a "currentStep" variable to keep track and start the bot with "navigate" in the browser. Add a "onnavigationcomplete" event to the webbrowser and do things there, for example click a submit button etc, increment the current step and continue..

As phpbuild say make it yourself dont give money to ubot. You can learn how to programme for -400$ :p. If you know java you can use selenium, It's work with webbrowser but you are safe

You could do it in .NET by using the Watin .NET library. Its built for controlling IE.

Unfortunately its not headerless. So a visible IE window needs to be shown/pop upped.

There is however a method to hide it via forms .... I was never able to figure out how though.

WATIN is really the only way to automate browsers using .NET

You can automate posting to any given website in the world, some are harder than others though. You can use the WebBrowser component as many people already stated, but as Psychop1 said, HTTPWebRequest are alot faster and cleaner to get the stuffs done.
You can even do multithreads, unlike webbrowsers.
