My laptop came through the other day, 2 x 80GB HD but one of them has been split into 36GB C:\ and 40GB. I would prefer to have that full 80GB on my C:\ as I have already used up 32GB of storage space on C:\ in programs alone.

Is it possible to ammend the partition storage % without formatting? I haven't touched the second half yet and probably wont do as I will just use the second HD so there are no issues of data loss from that partition.

    I don't think so.

To merge partitions, use Partition Magic:

    Code:
    http://www.symantec.com/norton/partitionmagic

Partition Magic does not work in Vista. Instead I clicked Start, Right click on computer and select Manage. Then click Disk management, I deleted the drive I wasnt using and extended my C:\ with the amount I deleted :)
