Is it possible for Google to stop chatgpt from getting all the data from it? One way for them to do this is to file a legal case against this.

Won't there be some sort of API call that gets the information?

If not, then Chat GPT could perhaps claim they are using lots of search engines and the information it spits out could be from Bing/Yahoo.

Google gets it data from us, so can't complain when someone else uses them.

However, OpenAI has partnership with Microsoft, meaning Bing is the most likely data source.

But they have listed at one place. If they had not done this, chatgpt would not have been same effective.

I don't believe is posible, that will make them look desperate and google play safe, I believe google is tracking the data gpt access and how do it, so for them is good because they can work around that.

google is not the only search engine exist.
if it's possible yes. legal implication? yes but basicly just lawyer fighting lawyer waste of money. will they do this? doubt it, chat gpt have a lot big investor, and doing this thing like blocking will just trigger a legalwar.

also even without google, what stopping chat gpt using other search engine? or heck make their own web crawler to surf the ned

I personally think there's no stopping ChatGPT. Google can just watch and try to emulate what Microsoft is doing with OpenAI.

Microsoft is adding it in windows. Google can do the same for Android.
