I have a webpage that has a wrong slug and H1 , but the content is not much relevant to slug and H1. Now i am wondering what should i do with this webpage ? redirection to new page or only just create a new page ?

If the content on the existing webpage is not much relevant to the current slug and H1, and you believe that the new slug and H1 will be more relevant to the content, then it might be a good idea to update the slug and H1 on the existing webpage rather than creating a new page. This will ensure that any existing traffic to the old URL will be redirected to the updated URL, and any backlinks to the old URL will still be valid.

if i update or make changes in the slug, i believe new page will be created automatically and old url will show NOT Found Error. . at the end , new page created so where the original page exist.

Scenario 1
Your slug - https://myawesomesitethatdoesnotexist.com/how-to-make-your-boss-happy
Content - 2000 words about health benefits of tomato
Problem - Content and slug mismatch but slug is important to you
Solution - Keep the slug and update the content about how to make your boss happy

Scenario 2
Your slug - https://myawesomesitethatdoesnotexist.com/how-to-make-your-boss-happy
Content - 2000 words about health benefits of tomato
Problem - Content and slug mismatch but content is important to you
Solution - Create another page - https://myawesomesitethatdoesnotexist.com/health-benefits-of-tomato and 301 redirect old URL to this new one.

Thankyou @sageshark for sharing excellent scenarios.

another case, if the page is already ranking with good position, you should use 301. But if not then create a new page. Sometimes I put wrong text in slug and correct it, submit it and redirect the wrong one to the new one

If your webpage has a wrong slug and H1, but the content is not relevant to them, it's best to create a new page with a more relevant slug and H1. If the old page has backlinks or social shares, you can redirect it to the new page using a 301 redirect

If the existing page is not performing well in search results, the content is not relevant and doesn't have any significant traffic, you may consider creating a new page with the correct slug and H1 tag. You can then redirect the old page to the new one to transfer any existing authority and backlinks.

you should 301 redirect the old URL to the new page it will be better
