Do you guys SB blast your tier one blog sites?
Is it risky to do that?
Yeah, but I usualy have a tier two which I blast the hell out of.
My tier 1 only has a few thousand built a month.
By a few thousand you mean actually approved links or a few thousand blasted out and waiting for approval?
I'd make a list of PR1+ sites and blast the hell out of my money site.
I did a 300k blast to my main money site with PR0+ sites and it hurt me for about 2 months. Before the blast my site was on page 22, then it came back to page 7.
Oh, and I was doing it noob style and maid ALL my anchor text my main keyword for the whole blast, lol. I don't really think blasting hurts you, it just slows down ranking alot, then helps you in the end. Patience is the key.
I social bookmark blast my domains and ever page I want ranked. Unless you are having it blasted at at garbage sites it won't hurt your main. I've done it on brand new sites too and never had one sandboxed yet.
Tier 1 is okay, and produces good link juice to your money site. DO NOT blast your money site despite what others say. Iv been there, tested it, and learned the hard way.
Either you had bad SB's or something else caused you problems. There is no logical reason for Google to dislike SB's on your money site and I have done it to more than 100 websites and never once had a problem.
It is because I went to the extreme and used AA lists that I built/collected over numerous months. Meaning I get a lot of approved comments within a short time frame. If you are blasting random blogs where you may get 1% sticking, sure you may be safe blasting your money site. I have tested this on more than 1 site.
Google likes natural link building, I'm pretty sure if you spike 100s of backlinks, then 1-2 next few days, that isn't natural
I do SB blast to tier 1 links. And Tier 1 links are either social bookmarks, web 2.0's, high PR profiles etc.
Blasting Tier 1 is OK in my book. Blasting straight to the money site is debatable.
