Have my site up live since November. Total of 19 keywords with 11 on page 1 and the rest down to page 8

Traffic is slow from the keyword searches alone. So I was thinking or adding some more relevant local keywords.

I have 9 pages of static content with the above keywords used. I have a blog that I update 2x a week that gets most of the hits.

So if I add/change say 5 keywords should they be added again to the main site OR just start fresh with new post to the blog using the keywords?

Kinda stuck on this issue since the site is well indexed im not sure how adding new keywords will play out and how to handle it.

    Any ideas?

Absolutely keep adding relevant keywords and posts! keep updating.

i know some people will disagree, but I've always been for consistent writing and posting and getting as many good posts as you can in order to get an established site to become more of an authority.

If your older posts aren't getting traffic but take up needed real estate on your site, you can consider replacing them, but I strongly suggest just adding on and modifying your site structure. if you have a good sitemap the crawlers will readjust your indexing for you

Just add new posts on your website and everything will be good. I don't see any bad thing in it.

Dont remove any keywords that you have now but keep adding new keywords to build weight to the other pages.

When you add new keywords in the new post's title and other sections, and publish them Google will consider it as a new page. so you can easily optimize that page with the new keywords. no need to change the main page.

You could add it to the preexisting pages, but honestly I'd recommend
building out new pages for each localized page. That will help add
additional pages to your website, making it appear more "fresh" in
    Google's eyes.

Plus, if you are linkbuilding properly that will allow you to diversify your
incoming links as well, which is beneficial for your linkbuilding campaign.

Thanx all...I will start to focus the new keywords I want into new blog post and maybe add a new page as well.
