Maybe it's a noob question but I still consider myself a newbie in CPA. So, as far as I know when getting leads for CPA offers in a blackhat way, one should blank or fake the referrer and throw some junk traffic so as not to raise flags for the conversion rates. But if the offer is a cash incentive one, is it necessary to throw junk traffic to lower de conversion rates? If they allow you to incentive your leads there shouldn't be any problem with a 100% conversion rate. Is that right? Thanks for your help!

Better is to always stay way below 100%. You can order k's of junk traffic for few dollars. It is better to pay few bucks than lose everything, isn't it?

Ok I understand that point, I also thought the same. But in that case, what's the point of incentive offers? I mean what's the difference between them and the others if in both you are expected to have low conversion rates? For instance, those survey sites that act as a middleman between incentive offers and the leads, don't they have near 100% conversion rate?

Yep. At the end of the day the advertiser that is paying you wants leads that will convert on their end. If you are sending them leads that are converting legitimately than why would the advertiser care that your traffic is converting well? They wouldn't, you're making them money. I'm sure you could rest your mind if you simply had a talk with your AM.

you also gotta think that advertiser stills wants good lead... that why they investigate if ur conversion are high because they want to make sure you are generating good leads.. so they should care, is not about us making them money, is about getting the good leads... else advertise will remove this campaign, not only they will be affected but us as well.

Junk traffic can work sometimes for incentive depending on exactly what you are trying to do, I was promosting chicfila at one point filling out suvery to get free sandwitch, junk traffic worked in that case.

Ok, I understand. So in a nutshell, for both incentive and non-incentive and blackhat and whitehat method, we should carry good (targetted) leads in order to maintain the advertiser happy. So in order to acomplish this it would be a good idea to ask the CPA support before starting a campaign.

in a nutshell, there's 2 types of CPA offers: incentive and non-incentive.
and there are 2 types of traffic: converting (whitehat) and non-converting (blackhat).

you only need to send junk traffic to water down conversion rates in 2 scenarios:
    1) you're sending incentive traffic to non-incentive offers.
    2) you're sending non-converting traffic to either type of offer.

also, don't ask your AM about pushing junk traffic to reduce conversion rates lol. they generally don't like that.

Thanks for summing all up :) Actually I didn't mean saying to my AM about the junk traffic or about blanking the referrer, I mean asking he/she whether one traffic source is ok.

PS: RickRoll'd is everywhere! XD . I am referring to your signature.
