This is my first time selling a domain, so wanted to see if you guys agree with me that he's trying to do a con.

Right I was selling one of my domains on sedo for £299, so some guy emailed me saying i seen your listing and would like to buy your domain and he said reply with the price, so i sent him a email back saying it is listed for £299 on sedo. so he sent me a email back saying
I offer 8000 usd. What are your payment details? If this is your first time domain sale i may help with the process. Are you a member of domain seller communities/forums? Probably, we know each other under some nicknames? Best regards David Vroman CEO VIP Computer Solutions.

Now that sounds dodgy as hell lol.

So you send the guy a price and he counteroffers with 10x the value? Yeah, your BS alarm should be screaming. I vote for stringing him along for your entertainment.

Offer escrow.com or just ask for a phone number so you can send him some funny texts and share with us. ;)

If something sounds too good to be true, it normally is. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from offers like that.
