I have found a good keyword in the movie niche, it has 2.9k searches per month and low competition. At the moment what I am doing is creating a movie website with movie information, the trailer for the movie and download link for the movie torrent.

Is it still illegal even if i'm redirecting the user to another page? Technically I'm not hosting anything.
Plus, I am curious to know for how much do "play now" and "download" ads convert for on average. Thanks

Yeah, of course. Links are links. Definitely never stream, though.

If you have good "play now" and "download" ads, they convert a LOT.
I've been fooled countless times in the past, especially when starting with torrents.
The method requires you to really try to deceive your traffic to click the ads, but it completely works.

As long as you're not relying on Google to monetize the site, you'll be fine.

Can i get in trouble for this? Like sued or something? Or will ceasing the site be the worst thing to happen?

And I know they convert a lot lol, I was fooled a lot too, but I wanted to know on estimate how much do they pey per click.

The worst that can happen is the site gets yelled at. I doubt there is even a law that can even remove a torrent linking site.

If you're looking for download ads, they might not pay much. I don't do pay per download myself, but you know, a winter vacation offer iframed on the button will sure pay a bit more.

One thing I must say: If you're looking to do something blackhat, go all the way with it or otherwise it's just a crippled slow-mo marketing campaign. Forget PPD, get $$$

EDIT: Forgetting PPD is LakeForest's (my own) opinion and does not reflect a community consensus. PPD does make money, and there are good network providers on BHW.

Good information there. I prefer not to go with ppd, I prefer to have a quality website with a good userbase, I have my email list set up and will possibly add a facebook like lock to gather facebook likes.

I was not refering to ppd in my last post, I was asking if you knew how much they pay for those "watch now" and "download now" ads that usually apper on streaming websites.

A lot of those ads are just images.

Demonoid used to have "click heres" for adult dating, for example.

You can use whatever ad you want that allows you to use your own images...or you can use your own images anyway and not tell anyone.
