Is it legal to parse google search result ?

    Hi,

    I have question in mind, Is it legal to parse google search result to check ranking ?
    I mean that if i build a service like that can i resell it (even if there's already a lot of them around in the market) ?

    can you explain a little bit more? What does parse mean in this case? You mean change the rankings using different methods or what?

    The new version of the TOS is more vague, but it is stated that:

    Bascially, if you use any API from Google then you will be shut down until you stop scraping search results.

    This has happened with raven tools, seomox, ahref and a ton of other services over the last few weeks, google it ;)

    YOu are always in breach of the terms of service with Google but you know what? Who gives a toss ;)
