I wonder is it Is it Legal to Embed Youtube Videos on Your Site? If it is illegal, then youtube has to stop offering/providing embed codes for its videos because they maybe assisting copyright infringment (if the video is copyrighted) - hence they are doing a crime by allowing to spread it ower the web?

Is it legal if you embed pictures from flickr on oyur site?

This may not be as clear as you think - http://shibashake.hubpages.com/hub/Embed-YouTube-Videos---Copyright-Infringement .

Also providing it is legal to embed any youtube video that has embed code then it would be also legal to hotlink images from Flickr, Photobucket and other picture/video sharing sites?

Then he wouldn't loose money if he added his video on flickr - http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-4-000-over-using-10-pic-sans-permission.html

I know i can embed but is it legal. I think videos should be responsibility of video uploader - so if copyrighted he would be responsible for that.

Yes, that's why they have the embed feature.

If the copyright owner of the video does not want to allow embedding they may select this, then if you embed it a message will come up saying "external viewing disabled by request" and the person will have to click the video again and it will bring them to YT.

Any movie that has embedding available may be embedded - that's why they have that feature.

You are responsible for everything that goes onto your website as an adsense publisher. If you embed YouTube or other videos that contain copyright violations, then you become responsible for copyright violations on your website. According to adsense policy, you don't have to host content that violates policy, even linking to it can be a problem. but if the upload-er is the true owner on the video and he or she allowed embed you can add it.

"Infringing on the legal rights of others" includes copyright infringements. Someone uploading a copy like disney cartoons without the permission or licensing from Disney to do so is copyright infringement.

well it's according to google who knows ?

So you are saying that embedding videos may be copyright infringements if the video is copyrighted but video uploader isn't copyright owner. But how could i tell that. And why youtube allows embedding these kinds of videos as this assisting copyright infringment . Actually far more than assisting copyright infringment.

Also facebook, then hubpagea and many more sites have youtube modules - that is also assisting copyright infringment.

How possible they couldn't be responsible for content on their site but i should be. Shouldn't just uploader be responsible for its content.

What is problem with adsense. I think youtube allows embedding - and people on google forums says that it isn't a problem if material is copyrighted as youtube is most likely going to disable that video.
