Is it just me or do Bing/Yahoo rank you totally opposite to Google?

On many of my sites I'm seeing complete opposite rankings. For example :

Site 1 Is on position 1-4 on Yahoo + Bing
But is no where in the Google results, not sandboxed but just GONE from ranking.

Site 2 Is not in Yahoo or Bing, nowhere for my keyword
But is on position 2 in Google for a big keyword

Does anyone else see these results? Its like you can't have both. I've seen this on other sites also.

Binghoo is generally a lot slower to rank websites in my experience. Sometimes I can have something ranking well in Google for 2-3 months before it's even indexed by bing. What I find that helps that is to make sure you submit a sitemap to bing webmaster tools. The bingbot really seems to need help index larger sites. Additionally, post-penguin I've had some sites basically beat all the way out of Google and then still ranking well in Binghoo.

One thing though that's on the positive side, is that my adsense sites seem to do better CTR-wise on binghoo traffic than google anyway.

Glad to see you get the same results. I've submitted sitemaps and can see their crawlers come on my sites, but they still don't rank them.

I would have thought they'd all have similar results, maybe 20 places of a difference, but from what I can see you need to do SEO for one or the other. Google needs lots of links + lots of PR but Bing + Yahoo only need on-page SEO and fresh content. Too many links and your site will tank.

Bing/Yahoo rewards on-page factors and URL a lot better than Google. Backlinks matter of course, but you can still keyword stuff your way to the top of Yahoo.

I think Yahoo/Bing are a LOT worse at figuring out if a site is actually "quality" than Google in my mind.

Same here. With backlinks your ranking will just reach the 2nd or 3rd page of yahoo or bing. I think there are some other factors involved of getting ranked in bing and yahoo.

if you do keyword stuffing to rank in yahoo... do you get penalized by google? =D
