Personally, I come to BHW to learn new techniques, strategies and to discuss what works and what doesn't with other BHW members. Lately, the 'making money' section, which used to be filled with methods and ideas, seems overrun with all these 'journey to' threads. So are you sick of them too?

I dont mind them, but they seem to last a week or two and the OP stops updating, which i think makes them look a bit stupid.

I don't really mind them, but I suppose it would be a good idea if they had their own subsection in order to separate them from the "method" threads.

Nope...these are real case studies. The ones that are frequently updated are golden gems...at least for noobs.!

You can learn techniques and strategies from journals too , That of-course if the OP really gives you some info and explanation , if he just says that today he made $ xx with videos and blog but didnt say how then ....yeah ..... not really worth reading

Why you hating? If you're sick of them, don't look at them or don't click on them, which I'm sure you do.

I don't like reading them, so I don't click them. I wouldn't say that I am sick of them

I avoid them, but they take up space in the make money section.

The real problem with the journey's is they all follow the same basic theme: youtube + cpa, or mns + adsense. The value of the case study is diluted when everyone is doing the exact same thing. I don't mind them, but they really deserve their own section since there are so many of them.

it can be a little annoying but overall i think they are ok. they should be in their own section for the sake of organization.

I think the problem lays with the perception of the OPs credibility besides them saying how much they make themselves
and I don't think I have ever seen one where any credible proof or examples have been posted.
They all tend to fizzle out after a week or so anyway.
Instead of starting a new "journey" thread why do members not start a blog? We have the ability on this
forum and then those members who wish to follow can do.

I don't really like threads about starting journeys. I believe a thread about an ending journey can offer much more useful information for all of us.

It does annoy me sometimes because a lot of them do not last, i just generally ignore anything that has journey in the title now lol... I think what oxonbeef said is a good idea because we have the blog option now and that would be a lot more organised :)

I actually find many of them enjoyable - and have learned quite a bit from several of them. Of course when they just start and then fade within days, it can be disappointing... ;)

I actually enjoy them when the OP doesn't get distracted by a virtual butterfly. There are a few here that are just great, some by KraftyKyle (which I believe is the best one) and another by the guys from One Week Cash Machine (although it's not quite a journal, but close enough). If the OP is dedicated enough to keep it going the journal is usually very good!

I don't mind them, but they seem to lack detail.

People seem to use them as a way of showing off about how much they're making; almost as if they're trying to boost their ego.

It'd be nice to see someone write one that actually gave their opinions on how things were going, not just a list of numbers for each day.

I think many of these threads are started too early. Saying "I've got nothing and dont know anything but wanna make $50/day" isn't really gonna help anybody. But if somebody says I can make $5/day doing this and that, watch me scale it up to $50, then it can be interesting.

Don't enjoy them either. Keep it all on a word doc or note pad and tell us when you get there, how you got there, why you got there, and what you took away from it. No need to clutter a forum with all the non-important daily updates.

I am sick of them they often more than not waste my time. I would rather read the success stories like. "do these 10 steps and I garantee you will make $10/day". This S.H.I.T. about sad stories, being busy today thats why I did not make money, my car broke down, my child got sick, my wife giving trouble....OH by the way the method worked I made $0.50 today is really BS. I think if you can't post a ligit technique don't post your S.H.I.T. and clutter up the site with your mess. Last week a lady even post that her boyfriend was lying to her about cancer for a whole year. WTF does that have to do with IM.

1 in 100 is interesting and you can tell by the OP's initial post what's going to happen. As others have said they tend to die very soon also.

I do think how ever they are good in the respect that it makes people concentrate on there work more.
