If I'm collecting emails through a website but I don't want to get my account banned by sending offers through the email address they sent me theirs from, is it illegal to send them offers via an unrelated email since they did give me their emails in the first place albeit by false pretenses?

Check your local laws. Sending spam (unsolicited mail) is illegal in the US and many other countries. The people receiving your emails should normally have to be "opt in" - specifically agreed to receive emails from you.

It is illegal here in my country.
Not sure about UK. May have to check your laws with your government.

Quite possibly, I think UK is similar to the US in that the opt in function requirements etc

UCE in the U.S. is not illegal (unless you harvested the emails or generated the emails) but there are requirements for how you must send it in order to be compliant (i.e. legal). The can-spam act regulates UCE but doesn't forbid it, which is why sp*mha*s and all the other vigilantes think the act is a joke.

as long as you are an a resident of the country , having an offshore server doesnt relieve you, neither does it make you immune to punishment.

safeside would be to hire someone to send it out for you, outsource!
