And if so, what video? Does it have to be one i made? Can i use the same one across say, 10 web 2.0 properties?

What about using someone elses video from youtube, changing the tags etc and re- uploading?

No, its not necessary to be made by you. Also dont bother with stealing someone video, reuploading etc...just embed it and you're good to go.

Ah but what if it was a CB product, i definitely wouldn't want to use someone elses for that would i? Because then i'd be helping them to rank.. So in that case i could make a vid with a link to my site which redirects to the offer and then put that vid in my web 2.0's ?

It could be something as simple as a power point presentation converted to a movie file and uploaded.

Make them unique though, don't leave a foot print by linking all web 2.0's to the same video.

If you steal someone elses video from Youtube and you upload it on your account you dont help him ranking his video.

Users from whom you've stolen the video can flag your video and youtube will take it down for copyright, other than that don't expect cops at your door.

Well using your own (even if it's a powerpoint or just some animoto stuff) is always better than using some1 elses. However, for simple web 2.0 tier 1 links this would mean leaving a massive footprint.

Just try to use a different random relevant videos in every web 2.0 property (article) and you will be more than fine.
