every link could have a title attribute like this:

    <a href=”/domain/” title=”Kw”>Kw</a>

now, At a semrush webinar I was listening today in spanish they were advocating using the title for your links and KWs, obviously with measure and to a certain percentage just like you use your anchor text in percentage, but my question is, Ive always heard and read that the title attribute was useless for SEO, am I wrong, should we use the title attribute in our links for seo purposes?

The correlation varies from one niche to the next so you need to evaluate this on a keyword by keyword basis but I recently measured these correlations.

Using link TITLE attributes has become more popular since the rise of such widely used scripts as WordPress, which by default duplicates the post title link in its TITLE attribute. The title is not meant to be a duplication of the anchor text. Title attribute is one of the HTML coding sequences that are present all over the web. To put it simply, Title attribute is the HTML coding which gives/explains a little more information about the hyperlinked text. The text which gives the information is known as Link Title.

The answer is, it varys based on your niche and the previous algorithms Google has setup for your industry..

Take for example, in the "make money online" or "payday loan" niche, this wouldn't work so well as Google is well aware of "SERP gaming" issues..

But if you did this for your local Nail Salon, get ready to meet Page 1 or 2 in the next few weeks..

So take it with a grain of salt and optimize your top 3-5 pages. Track the results. If it improves, go on towards your other pages...

    Does that answer your question?
