Hey.

i'm trying to star my new website its related to the books industry. i want to ask 2 quetions

1- is it easy to rank in books keyword or its saturated ?

2- how much time it take to have a traffic from google ? i saw people saying more than 7 months to start taking a good position because of googel sand box

Thanks

Hi Ferghb,

That question is really hard to answer without some more information, like:
1- Are these longtail keywords, book titles or maybe generic book categories? Platforms like MOZ have a keyword difficulty checker, I can't really give an opinion on the accuracy of these tools, but they can be a good starting point when assessing how hard it is to rank for a keyword. Other things you could do is look at what the quality of competing sites on a certain keyword is, manually (check backlinks, referral domains, trust-/citationflow, quality of content and other SEO indicators)
2- This is very different for each site. What you could try to speed up the process is acquire a already existing domain, this could help with ranking faster.

My site is 3.5 months young. I have about 45 indexed pages and my best ranking position is page 2. I use ahrefs (groupbuy) which tells me that I'm ranking for about 65 keywords. I'm still adding content regularly and hope/expect to see rankings rise.

Your asking an open ended question

you need to know your competitive landscape what is happening in search

without actual real time information your only getting guesses

take a look at the keyword breakdowns on what is happening on search to help you understand what I mean

When you know what actually happens on search you will know what your chances are with your topic

Try to rank in long tail KWs -> The book industry offer a large variety of content -> Rank in your niche first
