Is it better to use a iffy aged domain, or start fresh?

    Generally speaking....

I have a couple of aged domains that I bough, all with somewhat iffy metrics.

I was going to use and monetize, but on the other hand, it may be best to start fresh with a brand new domain.

i've only recently learned about filters and standards in terms of buying brand new aged domains. stuff like PA, DA, TF and so on. I will be holding it to higher standards in future.

Here are the kind of metrics I'm evaluating whether to use:

    Domain 1:
    PA: 20
    DA: 33
    Trust Flow: 0

    Domain 2
    PA: 1
    DA: 17
    Trust Flow: 4

    Domain 3
    PA: 40
    DA: 28
    Trust Flow: 3

    And my options are:
    - use them
    - toss them away and buy brand new domains, and build up a PBN to rank them with
    - keep looking for aged domains with better metrics instead (easier said than done).

Your post isnt 100% clear to me but anyway since you already own them, i would use them for PBN and as you said find higher quality ones to add to your PBN in future. For money site, i would not use those domains and unless you find a high quality domain in your niche with a clean history(usually expensive) best to start with new domain with clean history.

if you don't know 100% what you are doing I would start fresh. You could easily buy a domain that has been penalized and you'll be left wondering if why your rankings are moving.

man, who would sell you domains with tf under 5. That one with tf 0 is garbage. Unless there's a ton of strong links that majestic hasn't picked up that are showing on ahrefs, a 0 tf is bad.

DA is not exactly fake. OP simpy didn't state the number of referring domains at all, which will, considering the DA, be high. DA is purely a result of number of backlinks. There could easily be some equation for calculating a DA. Anyway, those domains don't look amazing. God knows what anchors they have and how clean they really are, so I would not bother using these as money sites to be honest.

For money site, you have to look for domains that have good metrics but since you already own these domains, then make sure these domains are related to your niche and they are good quality which underwent due diligence.
