If I am going to spend money on advertisement with facebook, should I push my group or my page?

Note that I have the group linked to the page as a community.

Groups are more engaging. Engagement is what works.

Thanks!!

So, I will focus on pushing my group. However, a follow-up question...

Since having a page and the group linked to that page is free and easy to maintain, I presume you would also recommend having the page too? Is that not correct?

The group is indeed your first priority, the page will follow if your subscribers are engaged

You can have the page too.
For example, you can post content on the page (which will grow organically) and then share some of that content in your group too
Groups are basically places where the people engage with each other

Imagine having a page about cooking. You post content on your page and then you can promote your group too, where people will share stuff, comment, engage, make friends, ..
You can try promoting your group through your page every once in a while too
I think that's the best way to go about it

If you get members of your group to like your page, you're going to have great engagement and thus also more reach.

fanpage all the way
you can do more there than the group group
now if your thinking low numbers group is better but if you thinking big, page will work
depends on your strategy too

i mean a 100k fanpage can bring you 500-1k new fans daily to a new page if your page is active and you a pro in the game it can bring you even 5k daily to another page

but a group can't bring that much to a fanpage or another group

this is a 120k page
i know a lot regarding pages and i know a lot regarding groups too
dont go with groups unless you have a good way to own a lot of profiles posting on a lot and i mean a looooot of groups that will be big/active
allow you to post or accept your post
and you automate it then go for groups

my income mostly comes from traffic to sites i monetize
a 50k group vs a 50k page

if you are not that good with pages go for groups will send more traffic
but if you are good with pages
then a 50k page will send way more traffic than a 100k group

and when i say good i dont mean reupload a puppy video just because that video took 3 M views in a couple of hours at Unilad page XD

both are important, however if your are going to start with one thing, it would work better if you push does ads in your group first

If you're looking to establish a brand and promote your business to a large number of people, it is better to promote a Facebook page.

If you're a new or small businesses looking to establish a presence, a group is better, especially if you sell niche products.

It depends on what you are representing. If you are a part of a organization or someone who relys on other people to and other business, then a group is better for you since in groups, there is more interaction and engagement. A page is more applicable for brands that are for business. With a page they can widen their rich and having page is better in handling customer service.

This is pretty much the perfect answer to this

All of you are so great! This was my first post, and unlike somewhere like stackoverflow where beginners get bombarded with hate and downvotes, all of you have been very kind and very helpful! Thank you so much!
