I have been shitting myself having to use public transport. I am moving away next week. I asked the removal van if I could ride in the van but they wouldnt let me saying that insurance doesn't allow it.

I don't have any friends I could call for a ride. I am concerned about using public transport since the event took place in manchester for fear it might have been one of a string of attacks.

I will be going over 30 miles away so a taxi isn't faesible. Coach has the same issues as train plus it would take 3 times as long.

Most people have said now will be safer than ever with the police everywhere and that train is still far safer than riding in the van even with the attack just happened. But still I haven't been able to stop worrying about it.

    Thoughts?

Technically you can die from this kind of attack in every public place, so you have the choice, go outside or stay alone in the dark to your home

I think you should go and don't be scared. Attacks don't happen that often and the chance that you will be in one is very very little...
You could always die from a car crash or something else just as likely so what are you going to do? Never go out??

Grab a nice big back pack. When you go on the train, shout "Allahu Akbar" this should make the other passengers know you want to be left in peace, they will leave the carriage and you should be safe to continue your journey.

Chances you'd die in a car accident if you'd travel by car are much higher than being a victim of a terrorist attack on public transportation.

This is the most legitimate advice. Really though, since terrorists target crowded places you can just try to be in the least crowded place.

I know someone going through the same worries and I'll tell you what I told them. You need to live your life, no worrying is going to get anything changed, the chances of anything happening is small. If you believe you are going to get hurt then you may be asking for it (glass half empty), take a different perspective and say you are going to do this and you will be safe.
