Is asking at the end of a long tutorial thread something like:

"Hit a like if you liked my work"

Is this allowed ? Many forums have rules against this.. just asking to make sure i dont get banned..

I dont know about other people but when I see someone begging for likes it pushes me not to like it, even if thread was helpful.

i dont really care about likes.. It's just that I do YT and I have a habit of ending with stuff like.. "Like & Subscribe, bros !!"
I wrote something long..and ended with something like that and all of a sudden i recalled I could be banned..so I went back and edited it..Also this site wont let you edit stuff after a while so I felt like i should just ask.. Not that anyone cares about likes received here.. but just asking that if someone has a habit and forgets and writes it once..then will they or will they not be banned ?

    Thanks ! :)

I dont think you should worry. Even if there was rule against it, it would be warning/infraction first. they wouldnt permaban you for something so minor

it's better to give people a reason to hit the "like" button or to subscribe to your channel rather than just asking them to do either.

ie, "if you like this article i can post more."

    or

"subscribe to get more cool news like this!"

begging is a turnoff and i never "like" or subscribe if i am just asked.

I would more likely to react on something like "appreciate your feedbacks"
asking for likes doesn't work anyway
