I am thinking of doing so temporarily while we find a new server since getting shut down by xsserver.

It would not be anything heavy. Just harvesting every cpl of days and likewise blasting every few days.

    Would use proxies ofc.

My isp is unlimited supposedly so shouldnt pose a prob im guessing.

There is nothing like ISB unlimited. There is a bandwidth limit about which the ISP will not talk to you unless you cross it.

3 years back, when I was a newbie to black hat marketing, I used my home comcast to blast my sites using xrumer 24X7. within three weeks I got a call from comcast saying that the bandwidth usage crossed 1000 gb and the limit was 250 gb. They also threatened me that they will suspend my account and prevent me from getting an account from any other established ISPs if I cross the limit again.

I was careful after that incident. However when it comes to SB, it don't consume so much bandwidth, use bandwidth monitor to track your usage, and don't over do it. Also use good proxies.

You should be fine as long as you use it sensibly.

If your ISP doesn't have fair usage policy on unlimited connection then go ahead there won't be any problem. If they have, ask them the limit and then use any good bandwidth monitor.

Go for it. I ussually use it on home connection. I don't tend to use it hardcore though, I mostly use it for general scraping, email scraping and checking PR on a smallish scale.

I use it via a residential connection - never had any issue
    make sure you're using proxies..
But that said, I never thrash it heavily, only for my own sites

I used to do it too for a month when I bought SB (to test the waters before getting a VPS and being able to transfer the license) - using proxies of course.

Absolutely no problem (though it runs faster on a VPS ;) )

Yep it's fine if your using proxies, although it will slow down the speed of your internet connection as it uses a lot of bandwidth. Obviously make sure you have anti-malware software installed to prevent any of the sites from infecting your PC.

Actually I've wondered about this too. What of scrapebox comes across illegal content? Am I still safe?

If you're referring to blasting sites containing viruses/malware, my antivirus blocks them (this has happened before).

VPN + Good proxies, will save your IP from being leaked. Also you need to check your terms and conditions in regards to bandwidth, last thing you want is for your ISP account o be banned and have yourself black listed.

It is not safe without proxies or you'll get your IP banned and #2, unless you have unlimited bandwidth, expect to get a call from your ISP about it. I've done that. Now I have business class internet and run it 24/7 without issues.

Can you without getting in trouble? Sure.... But of course there are risks, which is why you are asking this question.

More importantly, are you blasting specific lists that you know work? Are you simply scraping data? Are you trying to build lists? All will have different implications.

The big thing is that you'll be using a lot of bandwidth, which will be the first red flag.

Ye Im not using specific lists Im gonna be scraping and blasting so leaving myself open to all malware.

eset is really being put thru its paces not so much with sb but more with amr.

I have my comp setup so only windows install is on this one hardrive and have ghost images ready and waiting in the wings.

I do have unlimited connection. I checked today and they said specifically no restrictions in the TOS in terms of fair usage but there is another one termed acceptable us policy. It doesnt state a number but to email them to ask about it under abuse@blah.

Do you think its ok to say I say internet marketing programs or is it better to just say I download alot of torrents. I think the latter to be safe or just generally say alot of downloads.

If you are ever worried about your ISP, get a VPN ($5 a month, cheap). That way the traffic from your pc to the network is encrypted (unlike using proxies). I am getting one (watching netflix US with it, he he). Search for 'cheap vpn' on google.

For scrapebox you can use proxies. If you don't use proxies then you may get temporary google bans, and that is the only penalty I know of. Your ISP would (should?) not care.

Yup if your getting trouble from your isp you should probably look into a VPN. Though I was using sB for a good couple weeks on my reg connection and didn't have any problems. Usage probably wasn't as heavy as my VPS usage though
