I read somewhere that gravity (in clickbank marketplace) is the number of sales made by an affiliate in last 60 days, if thats true, then popular product like mass money maker which have gravity of above 1738, then it means he made 1738 sales via affiliate?

no thats not the case. Gravity means the amount of affiliates that has made a sale in the last 60 days. Now this doesnt mean they only got 1738 sales it means that 1738 affiliates got a sale in the last 60 days. however several affiliates could have made 10 sales of the product but that would only count as 1 for gravity purposes because it is 1 per affiliate.

    Hope that explains a bit.

    Thanks

pretty much correct, as well there's apparently a weight involved in how long ago those affiliates sold the product - ie an affiliate who had a sale 10 weeks ago may contribute a gravity of 0.1, while an affiliate that had a sale 2 weeks ago would contribute a gravity of 0.9 (may not be exact)

    decent explanation (not my site)

as well, keep in mind that with many IM products, there's normally a high gravity because our market buys under our own affiliate code so often, therefore it looks like lots of affiliates selling a product.

Hey yeah forgot to mention the IM products as the majority of affiliates do buy under their own aff code which falsely inflates gravity.
