I can see a pattern here, they are slowly clamping down on agencies trying to do SEO, Lead generation and PPC.

Smart ads which will optimize by itself, recent SEO update that clamps down affiliates/ Lead generation sites

With Google guaranteed services there would be less/no requirement for local SEO on listings.

Am not saying GMBs will be dead, but what am saying is this is phase 1 of the new beginning for local SEO

ps: am not saying its over for IM'ers, all am saying looks like a new era is about to begin with web 3 around the corner, blockchain and NFTs

Yeahhhh, I see on my clients' accounts how these automatic ads from google work (ie not very well and people are still looking for professional help). Even google themselves is phrasing out performance max because their bot does crazy weird settings on ads. Auditing these performance ads accounts is always a good laugh.
