I know google wants fewer and fewer people leaving the ad-filled pages. Is this something new? I saw it for the first time. Maybe there will be incentives in the future.

It's strangely paradoxical

Maybe they are starting to assume that other affiliate programs have been trying to arise in the past years, like FB Audience network
But they can easily identify which sites are ranking with adsense, which serve the exact same purpose as their own SERP results. In fact, most of my sites with adsense had a significant drop after the May Core Update.

Something weird is clearly going on with Google, but I'm starting to see DuckDuckGo ads around the city, Apple is going to push forward with their own search engine and even Google have been f2f testing results with their raters from other search engines.

2 years ago I was pretty amused with this type of SCRB and how they may overtake the content sites, but nowadays I'm starting to see a really wrong move on Google with these ideas that never set. The number of GMB without a single Q&A answer is immeasurable a clear failure in their trial to fully crowdsource, what others (like Tripadvisor) have been able to do 10 times better. Therefore, comparing with their historical results, I highly doubt this will grasp to be even a slightly near to Quora/Stack-like-sites solution that the majority of the people could appreciate.

I saw them in almost all question-type search queries. The Day will come when Google will answer the question on the first page instead of showing sites. F**king Greedy Bitch.

You bit they are. The more time you spend on their ad infused pages, the more they make without sharing any revenue through either adsense or their ad exchange. Same for rank position zero with a snippet. Maps, shopping, you name it. Its part of their game, domination but sadly through monopoly.. gotta catch apple market cap ha!

In my opinion, some of google's snippets are a necessity, same for few Q/A but sadly, they just do too much to the point where it affects millions of sites and business's

Every time I try to leave SERPs, Google be like
